There’s the teary eyed father moment seeing her for the first time in her white dress. The “holy crap, I’m about to walk down the freakin’ isle!” moment,  usually quickly followed by a “do I have anything in my teeth?” moment. There’s the  “I’m the luckiest guy in the world” shaken with a little “damn, my gal looks stunning!” moment when he sees her for the first time.

Isle kisses, hugs from grandparents, and memorable toasts from families and friends. I could honestly make a list longer than this blog could hold, as to what my favorite moments are as wedding photographer. Obviously, meeting wonderful families and sharing in such an important day occupies a great deal of that list. But a tiny moment for me and I’m sure most other photogs, usually happens weeks after the excitement has passed and the dust has settled. When you’ve spent hours and hours, days and days, even weeks and weeks cropping, retouching, and perfecting the artwork that captures those very moments you’ve trained yourself to anticipate for your clients. For me, the period at the end of the list is always the day you get to present, or in this case mail out, the final package of their goodies. It’s in that moment of excitement, often combo’d with jazzy-clappy hands, that make my late nights doing what I love to do really worth it. Someday I’ll have my camera in toe to capture THAT moment, just for me.

Here’s a shot of the wedding Goodie package for Denise + Craig‘s beautiful Cape Breton wedding.
